Two major protest rallies were held in London today, in which, according to The Guardian, about 115,000 people participated.

One of the rallies, called “Unite the Kingdom,” was organized by the well-known anti-immigration and anti-Islamic activist Tommy Robinson. Participants in this event carried flags of the United Kingdom, the United States, and Israel, chanted slogans criticizing Prime Minister Starmer, and held placards with slogans, including “Send them home.”

The second march, “Stand Up to Racism,” took place nearby and was a response to the rise of xenophobic sentiments in the country.

The protests are taking place against the backdrop of intensified debates in the UK on issues of migration, freedom of speech, and national identity.
