In the Shamakhi district, as part of the Grape and Wine Festival, another “Bootcamp” was held, dedicated to the project “Application of Artificial Intelligence in Precision Agriculture”.
According to Caliber.Az, this was reported by the Ministry of Agriculture. The “Bootcamp” held at the Training Center of the State Tax Service was attended by 20 students studying “Agronomy”, “Data Analytics”, “Electronics” and “Computer Engineering” from 17 universities in Azerbaijan.
Within the program, experts from companies specializing in the agricultural sector, as well as more than 10 acceleration and incubation centers, gave presentations. During the presentations, the experts shared their experience and recommendations for further improving the projects presented by the participants, as well as opportunities for their application in production, commercialization and marketing.
“The participants of the ‘Bootcamp’ presented presentations on a unified platform for the sale of plants grown by biotechnological methods, automation of irrigation networks, sensor technologies, software for intelligent management of agricultural activities, filtration of fish waste collected in reservoirs and aquariums to obtain natural, clean and financially profitable fertilizer, a local GPS tracking system based on the Concox Qbit-4G module in livestock, obtaining propanediol molecules in an environmentally friendly environment by biological fermentation, an application that helps recognize plant diseases by photographs, and other innovative ideas and models,” the information says.
There was also a broad discussion of initiatives in the agricultural sector, and the students were given recommendations for further improving the startup projects and presented models in accordance with new challenges.
The participants of the “Bootcamp” in the startup zone created at the “IV Grape and Wine Festival” presented their products and prototypes to visitors.
