An American delegation visited Ukrainian deposits in the Kirovohrad region for the first time to assess the possibility of extracting and processing resources in the region as part of a subsoil agreement.
According to Caliber.Az, this was reported by the Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, Oleksiy Sobolev.
“Together with the delegation of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation, we visited the Kirovohrad region to assess the investment opportunities for extraction and processing in the region“, he wrote on Facebook.
According to him, titanium ore is currently being extracted at these deposits, and the possibility of extracting zirconium ores in the future is being developed. He added that the site also has potential deposits of hafnium. This resource is used primarily in the nuclear industry and the aviation industry.
