The Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan has formed a Working Group to support strategically important urban development initiatives within the framework of the socio-economic development program of Baku.
As reported by Caliber.Az, the relevant document was signed by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov.
The working group will be headed by Deputy Prime Minister Samir Sharifov, and his deputies will be the Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and the Chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture Anar Guliyev.
The working group is authorized to review and conduct a preliminary assessment of urban development investment projects submitted by the Ministry of Economy and the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture.
The working group will primarily focus on the reconstruction of the territories around the Boyukshor Lake, between Heydar Aliyev Avenue and Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, as well as the territory around the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery (Koroglu metro station).
These projects will be implemented within the framework of the public-private partnership model based on agreed conceptual projects. The group will ensure the creation of the necessary conditions for investments, the coordination of investment contract terms, and the taking of other necessary steps.
