The era has ended: the legendary actor and director Robert Redford has passed away

In the USA, at the age of 89, Robert Redford – an outstanding actor, Oscar-winning director, and one of the greatest stars of classic Hollywood – passed away. He was also known as the founder of the prestigious Sundance independent film festival.

As reported by his representative, the artist passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Utah. The exact cause of death is not yet specified.

Robert Redford left behind an enormous cinematic legacy. Millions of viewers around the world remember him for his leading roles in such cult films as “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid”, “The Sting”, “Three Days of the Condor”, and “All the President’s Men”. His directorial work “Ordinary People” was awarded the Oscar.
