Key negotiations in Damascus: Head of Turkish intelligence met with Syrian leadership

The head of the National Intelligence Organization of Turkey (MİT), İbrahim Kalın, indeed arrived in Damascus on September 17, 2025. This visit is part of a series of high-level intensive negotiations between Turkey and the new Syrian authorities, who came to power after the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime in December 2024.
