The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan held a large-scale meeting to prepare for ensuring public order during the Third CIS Games. The main focus was on the tasks of maintaining security in Ganja – the “Sports Capital of the CIS 2025” – and six other cities in the country that will host the competitions from September 28 to October 8.
The video conference, which brought together representatives of various agencies on September 22, was chaired by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov. He emphasized that thanks to the experience of hosting many prestigious international sporting events, the Azerbaijani law enforcement agencies have accumulated significant knowledge in ensuring public safety.

The Minister of Internal Affairs gave a number of specific instructions and recommendations aimed at the impeccable conduct of the Games. Particular attention was paid to:

Ensuring the safety of all participants, spectators, guests, and representatives of foreign media.

Maintaining public order directly at the venues of the competitions and in the surrounding areas.

Strengthening security at checkpoints.

Creating the most comfortable and unhindered conditions for the movement of citizens.

It was noted that the police officers and military personnel of the Internal Troops involved during the Games should fulfill the assigned tasks at the highest level.
