Resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict based on peaceful coexistence of two states is the only viable solution for achieving peace in the Middle East.
As reported by TASS, UN Secretary-General António Guterres stated this.
“We know what is necessary: an immediate ceasefire, release of all hostages, full humanitarian access. We must not deviate from the only viable response to the peace problem in the Middle East — a two-state solution, which we eloquently reaffirmed yesterday. We must urgently reverse dangerous trends on the ground. The continuing expansion of [Israeli] settlements and the looming threat of annexation must be stopped,” he said during a speech at the general political discussion of the 80th session of the World Organization’s General Assembly.
