Iranian Foreign Ministry Representative Ismail Bagaei condemned the US-imposed restrictions on the movement of the Iranian delegation participating in the UN General Assembly in New York.

According to him, the real goal of such actions is to “interfere” with Iran’s diplomatic activities at the UN.
“The systematic harassment of Iranian diplomats by the US has prevented Iranian delegates from participating in several multilateral events that took place outside the so-called ‘permitted parameters’, just this week,” Bagaei noted.
“Applying such cheap restrictions to the movements of our diplomats and even to their daily grocery shopping is not only a flagrant violation of US obligations under the Headquarters Agreement, but also a new low in terms of demonstrating the degree of hostility of the US administration towards Iranians,” the agency representative wrote.
