Ukraine Will Receive a New Aid Package from Canada

Canada allocates 92 million hryvnias to Ukraine for strengthening cybersecurity as part of a new Tallinn Mechanism assistance package. The initiative unites 12 countries and coordinates support for enhancing the state’s cyber resilience.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

It is noted that the funds will be directed towards protecting critical infrastructure, countering cyber threats, purchasing equipment, and creating detection and prevention systems.

Partners have already selected six projects for financing, including:

  • State Judicial Administration,
  • Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant,
  • State Border Guard Service.

As explained by the Ministry of Digital Transformation, financing will be carried out through U.S. Civilian Research & Development Foundation (CRDF Global), which has experience in implementing technical assistance in Ukraine.
