Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban highly praised Azerbaijan’s role for the European Union, calling the country a “golden reserve” in the context of overcoming current energy challenges.
He made this statement in Copenhagen before the start of the European Political Community summit.
Orban emphasized that during a period when the EU is experiencing significant difficulties in the energy sector, Azerbaijan acts as an irreplaceable partner. According to him, the value of cooperation with Baku is determined by three key factors:
- Rich energy resources of the country.
- Readiness for constructive partnership with the European Union.
- Presence of stable and effective leadership.
It is this combination, in the opinion of the Hungarian prime minister, that turns Azerbaijan into a strategically important asset for ensuring Europe’s energy stability.
