Azerbaijan and ADB Outline Paths for Private Investments in Transport Sector

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan is exploring new opportunities to attract private capital to the country’s strategic projects. This issue became the central theme of a meeting between the head of the agency Rashad Nabiyev with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Vice President for Market Solutions Bargav Daskupta.

During the dialogue, the parties discussed specific steps to involve businesses in key initiatives. Special attention was paid to the upcoming privatization of companies within the AZCON Holding structure.

In addition, Rashad Nabiyev and Bargav Daskupta exchanged opinions on the prospects for future partnership. The agenda included issues of cooperation in such important areas as air and road transport, development of railways and the Baku Metro.
