Baku and Astana discussed the elimination of double taxation

The next round of negotiations on the draft “Convention between the Government of Azerbaijan and the Government of Kazakhstan on the Elimination of Double Taxation on Income and Property, as well as the Prevention of Tax Evasion” was held in Astana.

As reported by Caliber.Az, this was reported by the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan.

As a result of the discussions, agreement was reached on the majority of the provisions of the draft Convention concerning taxation.

“The discussions were held in an atmosphere of mutual understanding, and both sides agreed to intensify efforts to quickly agree on the remaining open issues,” it is noted in the information.

During the visit, a meeting was also held with authorized representatives of the National Revenue Committee of Kazakhstan, where an exchange of views on the topic of “Transfer Pricing” took place.

“During the discussions, the experience of both countries in the field of transfer pricing was reviewed, and an agreement was reached on strengthening cooperation between the relevant agencies in this area in the future,” the State Tax Service reports.
