A significant shift has emerged in negotiations to resolve the conflict in the Gaza sector. Washington and Tel Aviv have made substantial progress in coordinating details of a peace initiative developed with mediation by Donald Trump’s team. The main objectives of the plan are a complete ceasefire and the release of hostages held by the Hamas group.
According to high-ranking sources in the White House, key agreements were reached after recent negotiations in New York. The meeting was attended by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as well as American representatives — Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and special envoy Steve Witcoff.
Despite evident optimism, the fate of the entire deal now depends on one decisive factor — Hamas’s consent. Officials emphasize that without approval from the group, further implementation of the plan is impossible.
