Egypt and Pakistan Strengthen Ties: Military-Industrial Cooperation Will Reach a New Level

Cairo and Islamabad are actively exploring ways to expand their bilateral partnership in key sectors, including military and civilian production. These issues were the central topic of discussion during the meeting between the Egyptian Minister of Military Production, Salah ad-Din Mostafa, and the Pakistani Ambassador to Cairo, Aamir Shouket, held on Sunday.

Minister Mostafa emphasized the long-standing and stable relations between the two countries, particularly highlighting the strong support from the political leadership of Egypt and Pakistan.

The head of the Egyptian agency presented the wide-ranging capabilities of the Egyptian Ministry of Military Production, which includes:

  • 15 subsidiary industrial enterprises;
  • A construction company, a scientific and technical center, and a maintenance company;
  • A training sector, a medical center, as well as testing grounds for weapons and ammunition;
  • An Academy of Engineering and Advanced Technologies.

The Minister explained that the main mission of his ministry is to provide the armed forces and police with a full range of military products, from ammunition of all calibers to armored vehicles, tanks, and modern electronic systems.

In his speech, Mostafa expressed a desire to establish a strategic partnership with his Pakistani counterparts. He emphasized that his agency is actively focused on collaborating with global companies to localize the latest production technologies and improve the quality of both military and civilian products. Such a partnership is expected to bring significant mutual benefits to both sides.
