The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi emphasized the urgent need to stabilize the situation around the Iranian nuclear program by achieving a diplomatic agreement. Speaking on the sidelines of the World Nuclear Week in Moscow, he stated that this is the only sustainable path in the long term.
“We need to help stabilize the situation, find a diplomatic solution,” the IAEA head noted, emphasizing the lack of alternatives to the negotiation process.
Grossi also reported that he previously discussed the Iranian nuclear issue during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to him, the Russian leader is actively involved in finding a way out of the crisis and maintains contacts with heads of other states to facilitate this process.
