Masdar reveals strategy: Azerbaijan aims for global leadership in green energy, far beyond European export

Within the framework of the II Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Media Forum in Baku, representatives of Masdar (UAE) shared their vision of Azerbaijan’s energy sector future. It became known that the country’s ambitions in the “green” energy sphere are much broader than simply exporting renewable energy to Europe.

According to Masdar representatives, Azerbaijan aims to become a global player in the clean energy market, developing a comprehensive strategy. This strategy includes not only creating large generating capacities, but also developing all related infrastructure, as well as introducing innovative solutions in this area.

Special attention is paid to forming an internal green energy market, attracting international investments, and creating new jobs. Azerbaijan’s goal is not just to sell excess clean energy, but to transform its energy landscape, becoming a model of sustainable development and innovation.

Company representatives emphasized that partnership with Azerbaijan goes beyond current projects, promising long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation in implementing these ambitious plans.
