Representatives of the North Atlantic Alliance countries will hold urgent consultations on September 23 to discuss the recent incident with fighter jets that occurred in Estonia. This was reported on the air of the French TV channel TF1 by French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot.
According to the head of the French Foreign Ministry, NATO allies will gather to “determine response measures in political and operational terms“. This indicates the seriousness of the situation and the Alliance’s intention to develop a coordinated response.
Although no additional details about the incident or possible response measures have been provided yet, the very fact of the urgent convening of NATO representatives indicates a high level of concern. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, September 23.
It is expected that the agenda will include an analysis of what happened and an assessment of potential risks to the security of the region and the entire Alliance.
