Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu used the UN General Assembly platform to directly address the Palestinian Hamas movement, demanding that they immediately lay down their weapons and release all hostages. In return, he offered a complete cessation of war in the Gaza sector.
Netanyahu stated that his address is being broadcast not only through loudspeakers at the enclave’s border but is also being delivered directly to the mobile phones of Hamas leadership. According to him, this was made possible by a special operation of Israeli special services.
The Israeli prime minister’s ultimatum was extremely harsh and unambiguous.
“If you do this, you will live. If not, Israel will hunt down and destroy all of you,” Netanyahu said, adding that the war could be stopped immediately if Hamas accepts the presented demands.
