Starmer: Putin cannot be trusted

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, during today’s meeting, addressed the “coalition of the resolute” stating that they had given Ukraine an “unbreakable promise”.

According to Sky News, speaking via video link, Starmer warned that Russian President Vladimir Putin cannot be trusted, and that the Kremlin leader is deliberately prolonging peace negotiations in order to strike at Ukraine.

“This was further underscored by the indiscriminate attacks in Kyiv last week, which caused significant damage to British Council and EU delegation buildings,” said the British government spokesperson.

According to him, Starmer also noted that the allies had given Ukraine an “unbreakable promise”.

“The Prime Minister stressed that the group has an unwavering commitment to Ukraine with the support of President Trump, and it is now clear to them that they need to go even further to put pressure on Putin to ensure a ceasefire,” the spokesperson added.
