The United States allocates $14.2 million to Lebanon for the disarmament of Hezbollah

The Pentagon reported that the Trump administration has approved a $14.2 million aid package to support Lebanon’s efforts to disarm Hezbollah.

This is reported by United Press International.

The funds are intended to enable the Lebanese army to disarm non-state groups, including Hezbollah.

These funds will be allocated under the Presidential Drawdown Authority program, which allows the US President to quickly provide military assistance to foreign countries in emergency situations.
