The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan officially expressed its support for the comprehensive plan to end the conflict in Gaza, presented by the US President Donald Trump. This statement emphasizes Baku’s commitment to achieving stability in the region.
As noted in the publication of the foreign policy department, honest commitments from the parties, building mutual trust, and strict adherence to international law norms are extremely necessary for establishing a sustainable and fair peace.
Special attention is paid to priority steps: exchange of prisoners and hostages, as well as ensuring the humanitarian needs of the Gaza population. These measures, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, are of vital importance for reducing tensions, building trust, and creating the necessary conditions for long-term stabilization and subsequent political settlement.
Azerbaijan is firmly convinced that only through dialogue and goodwill is it possible to achieve a long-term solution based on the principle of two-state coexistence.
