Azerbaijan and China are actively seeking ways to deepen cooperation, with a particular focus on the agricultural sector. The Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan, Mejnun Mammadov, held a meeting with the Chinese Ambassador to Baku, Liu Mei, where both sides expressed a firm interest in developing partnership relations.
The head of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Agriculture emphasized the dynamic development of bilateral cooperation in all areas and confirmed Azerbaijan’s full support for initiatives to strengthen trade and economic ties with China.
During the negotiations, a wide range of issues were discussed: from strengthening the legal framework in the agricultural sector to the creation of a joint working group on agriculture. Particular attention was paid to increasing the trade turnover of agricultural products, the transfer of the most modern technologies, and cooperation in the field of research and innovation.
Ambassador Liu Mei, for her part, confirmed that China sees Azerbaijan as a friendly partner and is interested in developing cooperation in all areas. She particularly noted the significant potential for expanding cooperation in agriculture, as well as in the fields of innovation and technology.
The parties expressed mutual readiness to further deepen the dialogue and implement joint projects that will allow the partnership to reach a new level.
