The stability of Azerbaijan’s energy system is a key advantage creating a favorable climate for investors in the “green” energy sector. This high assessment was given today in Baku by the head of the GoodWe representative office for Turkey and Central Asia, Engel Tastan, speaking at the “Green Energy Week 2025”.

According to him, international investors, when making decisions about investments in renewable energy sources (RES), primarily analyze the reliability and stability of the existing power grid. The stable energy transmission system in Azerbaijan, supported by a high level of state generation, serves as a solid foundation for integrating new solar and wind capacities.

However, for further market development, in the expert’s opinion, it is necessary to focus not only on building stations but also on creating a transparent regulatory framework.

Engel Tastan recommended actively involving experts and using advanced international experience to develop clear and effective rules for investors. He concluded that this approach would help win the trust of businesses and attract even more long-term investments to the sector.
