Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that negotiations to end the war should take place at the level of heads of state, not “technical teams”.
He stated this during an address to the public.
“The US can push Putin to dialogue. This could be a meeting of leaders in any format. The main thing is to stop the killings. We are ready for President Trump’s proposal: a trilateral format, then bilateral or vice versa. But there must be leaders, not technical teams,” Zelenskyy noted.
The head of state also commented on the recent drone incident in Poland, calling for “strong responses”.
“I don’t think NATO has failed. Wherever there is NATO, there is no war. But we need to respond. We need strong responses,” the Ukrainian president stressed.
